The developing tropical countries have unique indigenous plants that are at risk. Most of the time through ignorance and superstition some plants in particular trees are felled over night by villagers. The photographs section illustrates this danger to our environment and future generations.

In the photograph, many felled trees in a village were shown. On enquiries, the trees including economic plants and medicinal trees were cut down because prophets preached against such standing plants because they haboured evil spirits.
